“We cannot meet our goals for increasing student achievement unless and until we focus on improving teaching quality and the effectiveness of teachers in front of the classroom,” Wiener said.

I THINK THIS IS VERY TRUE. LIKE IN THIS ARTICLE SAYS, THAT THERES TEACHERS TEACHING A SUBJECT THAT THEY WERE NOT PERPERED FOR. MATH IS A DIFFICULT SUBJECT THAT SHOULD BE TAUGHT WELL.  THESE TEACHERS SHOULD BE MORE PREPARED IN THEIR PROFESSION TO BE ABLE TO HELP THIS YOUNG KIDS. I REMEMBER WHEN I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL THAT OUR TEACHER WOULD BE A CHAPTER AHEAD OF US AND WOULDNT REALLY EXPLAIN HERSELF. THIS CAUSED ME CONFUSION.

I THINK THAT TEACHERS SHOULD BE MORE PREPARED AND BE READY TO WORK WITH KIDS. TEACHERS SHOULD BE ABLE TO OFFER HELP AND ACKNOWLEDGE THEIR STUDENTS TO DO WELL IN SCHOOL. THE PROGRAM NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND HASNT REALLY DONE ENOUGH. THEY SAY THAT IN 2014 THIS PROGRAM WOULD BE A GARANTEED SUCCESS. I CANT WAIT TO SEE THIS HAPPEN. WE SHOULD REALLY DO SOMETHING FOR THE KIDS OF OUR FUTURE. IVE EXPERIENCE THIS SITUATION COMMING FROM AN INNER CITY SCHOOL. STUDENTS SHOULD BE AT THE SAME SPEED AS THEIR TEACHERS SO THEY CAN LEARN.
